Commissioned Artwork
A commissioned painting is a deeply personal work of art, created to honor a place, a person, a beloved pet, a home, a memory, or a meaningful part of someone’s life. Below are examples of past commissions, along with words from the clients themselves.
Pets-Dogs-Cats

I gave my husband a portrait of our family pet for Valentine’s Day, a pet we lost a couple of years ago, and it was honestly one of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever given. Jeb Arcement somehow painted not just what she looked like, but the way she made us feel. The whole family was in tears, kids included. It’s hanging in our home, and I know we’ll never take it down. This is the second piece he’s created for us, and he exceeds our expectations every single time.” – Cassie Theriot

From Cassie-Some stories don’t live in photo albums. They live in trees.
My dad’s brother, Nathan, had a huge oak tree in his yard. It was our favorite place as kids. We climbed it constantly, and my uncle tied a rope swing to it that we practically lived on. I can still remember the uncles taking turns running with the rope and flinging us into the air. It was the epitome of pure childhood joy.
Two years later, my uncle was killed in a tragic accident in the basin. The trees remained and continued to grow. Over time, they became the climbing trees for my nieces and nephews, a constant reminder of Uncle Nathan and the roots he planted in our family.
One day, Uncle Nathan planted a single acorn from that tree in a five-gallon bucket. When it grew to about a foot tall, he brought it to our house and my dad planted it in our front yard. Not long after, my dad planted a second oak to balance out the yard.
This year, my parents had to make the difficult decision to remove the trees as their roots were extending under the foundation of their home. It was not an easy choice, especially for my dad.
For Christmas, we wanted to give them something meaningful to remember the trees by. We commissioned Jeb Arcement with Jeb Arcement Fine Art to paint their home with the trees standing in front. Even with less-than-great reference photos, he created the most beautiful piece.
It now hangs in my parents’ sitting room. A reminder that roots don’t disappear just because the tree is gone.

Custom Collaborative Commissions
A Custom Collaborative Commission is when a person has an idea for a painting they would like, and I get together with them either by phone or in person to make it really happen for them. The painting below is an example.

We got contacted by a guy who wanted to get me to do a painting for him. He worked in the Oil and Gas Industry and wanted something like an oil well in the painting. You can see the well in the middle of the painting of the painting, in the distance just to the left of the man fishing. So, my wife and I listened as my wife took notes. He said he also wanted a camp or Cajun Cabin, the American Flag flying and an oak tree. He also wanted an older man fishing since he had fond memories of fishing with his grandfather. I offered to put in cypress trees with moss to make it reflect South Louisiana cypress swamps. I also offered to put in the iconic pair of Mallards getting ready to land. He was all for my suggestions. I was so excited! So, the painting contains all the elements he wanted, plus some. It is important to have some restraint, so the composition is not too busy. I loved collaborating with him to take what he wanted, enhance it, with his approval and deliver it to him.
His testimonial-“I couldn’t be happier with the artwork I received from Jeb Arcement Fine Art. Mr. Jeb is such a genuinely kind person, and his talent speaks for itself. He painted me an amazingly beautiful piece that captures so much detail and heart. He was very transparent throughout the entire process, and the time it took to complete was absolutely worth the wait. I would highly recommend Jeb Arcement Fine Art to anyone looking for a meaningful, one-of-a-kind piece”.

“The finished work was way more than I expected! He did a great job on the painting for a very reasonable price! He even added the cypress frame that made it complete. I would definitely recommend Jeb to do more work! My husband was ecstatic with the painting!”
“We met Jeb through our business. My husband and Jeb talked about shrimping and how Jeb was an artist. My husband was interested in Jeb painting a picture of his shrimp boat. Jeb told him that he would go out there one day and possibly paint it. Secretly, I got in contact with Jeb about painting it and giving it to him as gift. My husband would constantly ask if I ever talked to Jeb but I would tell him no. Jeb went to the boat, painted it and framed it.
Once he was complete, I was able to pick it up. I gave it to my husband for Father’s Day of 2024. It was very easy to communicate with Jeb throughout the process”.

Jeb was asked to paint a calla lily for a sweet couple. It had special meaning because it was his mother’s favorite flower. They wanted to cherish her memory with a piece of art they could see in their home daily. They were so happy with the results they bought the original and a print of it too with a white matt.

Thank you, Jeb Arcement, and jebarcementfineart. Jeb painted a Blue Heron on repurposed wood. I commissioned Jeb to paint this Blue Heron after he posted a photograph he took of a Blue Heron. The painting fits perfect in our little lake cabin at Lake Texoma, TX. I had a space to fill, it’s perfect. Thank you again, Louisiana Artist Jeb Arcement.

This is a 4 ft by 8 ft (sheet of plywood) painting of this Santa scene. It was painted in our garage in 1993. We put it outside every year around Thanksgiving when we start decorating for Christmas. We LOVE the Christmas season! WE pic k it up sometime in early January. So, it has held up well for that time period being outside so much. Marie wrote-
I saw this image in a Good Housekeeping December magazine and LOVED it! And…my sweet husband said he would turn it into a LARGE yard decoration
I am SO happy it looks this wonderful after 32 years!! Since this was my wife wanting the painting, my pay was different-I could take out the trash anytime I wanted.
